FAQ

Is counselling completely confidential?

I am accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am bound to keep their very high standards of confidentiality and ethics. This means that, I will not pass on the things you talk about to anyone at all. If we were to meet in public – I will follow your lead or we might have discussed this beforehand so that you feel prepared for this possibility. I try to be respectful of you and your circumstances at all times. No one will ever find out you come to see me unless you chose to tell them.

Will you give me exercises to do?

I do not tell you what to do, or feel that I know in any way what it means or how it would look for you to engage in your sexuality and sexual life. I encourage you to find your own way and support you with this. This may mean I share with you ideas I have encountered in my own personal and professional journeys, but these will be offered as suggestions to be weighed up according to your own discernment and wisdom.

What sort of sexual difficulties and problems do people come to you with?

I am open to discussing anything that you are struggling with or that you feel is relevant. Having worked with people in this area for some time it is highly unlikely that I will be shocked by what you have to share.

Do you work with issues around gender?

Yes, I am comfortable and competent in coming alongside you in your search to find your true self.

Can I talk to you about my relationship with pornogrophy?

I am open and available to join with you in looking at porn's impact on your life and to disucss and examine any concerns you may have.
