About Me

I have worked with people in therapeutic settings for the past 15 years, and am a qualified person centred therapist and counsellor. I have experience of working in both child, adolescent and adult settings, in learning disability services, and in specialist sexual health clinics and sexual abuse and sexual assault services. I am at ease with the natural diversity of sexual orientation and conversant with heterosexual, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and pansexual issues, respecting relationships both within and outside traditional marriage and partnership.

Cathrin

I have a wide variety of experience, including dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety and stress, relationship and family difficulties, eating difficulties, addictions, bereavement, life crises and changes, abuse and trauma, coping with ill health and disability.

In addition to individual and couple counselling, I also work with families and groups and offer supervision to any person who would find it helpful to have a safe space to explore any issues that arise for them in their work.

I come alongside my clients with a caring attentiveness, honouring their journey and process in a wholesome way. I am curious about people and interested in helping you discover your way to fulfillment and satisfaction. I am committed to my own journey and attend to self-care as a pre-requisite to being alongside my clients. I have regular therapeutic support and supervision, and sustain my personal and professional development through participating in a wide variety of courses and workshops each year and through engaging in practices, activities, and relationships that are nourishing, stimulating and supportive.

I enjoy meeting people at depth, finding connection in whatever the moment brings whether that be in joy or sorrow, with tears or laughter.
